An extremely active tropical wave is expected to bring heavy rain, severe thunderstorms and strong north to northeast winds to St Maarten and coastal water. Expect a further 20 to 40 mm of rain on top of what has already fallen, though possibly more in localized places. Peaks rates of 15 to 25 mm/h, but 25 to 40mm/h possible in localized downpours. Low chance of upgrading to a Red Warning. Potential Impacts: Ponds, streams and canals may rise rapidly. Surface flooding, rock fall, landslips, and difficult driving conditions possible.
