Event description

A strong tropical wave is affecting the islands. This is generating overcast skies, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across SVG. There are already reports of swollen/raging rivers across various communities on the mainland from 2 inches of rainfall from the last 6 hours only. An additional 3 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected within the next 12 hours.

Instructions

Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash flooding (Arnos Vale, Kingstown or low lying/coastal areas) and landslides (Belmont, Mesopotamia and areas of elevated terrain) or near rivers and streams should exercise extreme caution.
