Event description

The upper level environment is expected to remain supportive as a tropical wave continues to affect our islands. Therefore, cloudy to overcast skies, pockets of moderate to heavy showers, periods of light rain and thunderstorms will persist across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Model guidance suggests rainfall accumulation of 75mm-100mm (approximately 3-4inches) with isolated higher amount in mountainous areas are possible within the upcoming days.

Instructions

Residents and motorists near mountainous areas that are prone to landslides, flooding; as well as residents living in low laying areas near rivers and streams such as Kingstown, Arnos Vale, Vermont, South Rivers, Calliaqua and Georgetown should exercise extreme caution. Some roads may become impassable, so consider taking alternative routes. Please stay tuned for further updates.
